Default Anyone looking for a 993 GT2 gearbox?

Hey everyone,

I originally grabbed this up for the kit guys, but thought that there might be some interest in it here. I have a 1994 993 GT2 gearbox completely rebuilt with new ring and pinion, for sale. It carries a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty with it. This is a really nice gearbox.

Let me know if there is anyone in need of something like this.

I am thinking $12,500 for it, plus shipping.

Thanks all, and yes I am a paying sponsor of this site, I am not sure why my name is still reading as it is.

Warmest Regards,

You should post this on the 993TT board. May be some interest.

Is a case exchange required for that price? Does it include the 40/65 LSD?

For folks reference, a new G50/32 from Germany (which includes the 40/65 LSD) is $15k (shipped) if you don't have a case from a /32 to exchange. IIRC, the credit for returning the used case was $3500. The LSD ordered seperately from Porsche is $1995.

Hi all,

Here is the story on the GT2 box.

This gearbox has a new 8:32 Cryogenically Treated / REM Micropolished ring and pinion in it. New steel synchros, new pinion bearing, new seals, new diff bearings, and a new 1/2 operating sleeve.

As to the gearing they are as follows:

1st 13:41 3.15
2nd 20:40 2.00
3rd 25:39 1.56
4th 26:34 1.31
5th 32:35 1.09
6th 27:24 0.89

This should make for a real nice gearbox for the track. Let me know if you need any additional information on it.

Erik
