Holy Moly, you guys are too nice. Its simple, I just like to help others. And yes, working with Robin is quite fun.
Now if only I could finish my engine oil change, and gearbox oil change and brake flush, I might be able to get my car back on the ground I think there are cobwebs from the rotors to the ground at this point.

Over the last several months, Chris and Robin have performed the following modifications to my car: Bilstein PSS9's and M030 sway bars along with scaling/corner balancing, the RSR lightened flywheel/ clutch, a new starter, and other maintenance work along the way. Chris and Robin have been the best!

Yup! Kudos to Robin and Chris for their valuable contributions to this community, and for just being plain nice guys! We are fortunate fellows to have them in our midst! Likewise goes to the illustrious Steve W., who is arguably the chief architect of SSS (Slippery Slope Syndrome) ...but at least if you contract it from him, you'll be sick in great company! Cheers, gents!!

I am still a newbie here. Who are these gentlemen? I know Steve W., but who are Robin and Chris? Do they have a shop in Southern California?
Pardon my ignorance,

Thank you guys for the kind words, just some clarification
(1). We are not in the car repair business, everything is operating out of my garage in the Chino hills.
(2). We both have full time jobs, although I suspect Chris' daily job is more fun than mine. (I make softgel pills)
(3). Most all of the work we have been doing are for friends and friend's referral. (The truth is that with our current schedule we can't handle too much work, backed up until May)
(4). We are slow, we take our time.
(5). Chris paid full price for my RSR muffler, back in 2001.
(6). We are not planning to expand this service, or are opening a shop any time soon. (Just a pipe dream)

They are great! I'm fortunate to live just 15 mins from Robin's famous garage.

Three Wheelin'
I know I already posted in this thread about Chris, but I need to add one. Broke a control arm ball joint stud on sunday while getting my car ready for a de coming up this friday. I have to leave my house thursday to go, so I had essentially 3 days to fix the car. Shot chris an email to see if he had any idea where I could get the part in time. He sent me a spare control arm, 1/2 a set of bushings(so I wouldn't have to dissasemble the old one), and a set of ball joints, because the arm he had is for a 993, with the larger ball joint stud. I am going to upgrade to them anyway, but this was just earlier than I had expected. Did I mention that he packed it all, sent it monday, I got it yesterday and am back on the road? Wish that everyone that I dealt with in the business world was 1/4 as helpful. Chris, thanks again.

Chris and Robin are guys on this board, just like you and me. But what they contribute is their love for the car, experience in ownership/maintenance/mods, but most of all the cameraderie of being a Rennlist member and all that means: like sharing knowledge and a getting dirt under your nails, as well as an occasional adult beverage. Not to mention Robin's indispensible website which you need to check out (p-car.com). Perhaps Chris' sig line sums it best: "Is this a great place or what?" Hope that helps ya

I'll join the love fest:
I met Robin in person for the first time near the end of March to get my RSRs. It was one of those perfect "car guy" mornings. I had my Starbucks, he found me a nice chair, and had opera on the radio. Throughout the two hours I was there, we realized we both had a lot more in common than 993s: we chatted like long lost friends about our young daughters, fish oil capsules, real estate investment, him growing up in the South Bay where I live, BMWs, Mercedes, the fine art of Ferrari buying and more.
I'm pretty sure we could have gone on like that all day, but our wives and daugthers beckoned, so we agreed to keep in touch and I look forward to seeing him at his next get together.
