Default Champion RG5B 19" Wheels Question

After looking through the forums at pictures of your 993's, I found pictures of a 993 Turbo with a set of 19" Champion RG5B wheels. I'm interested in getting a set of them for a 993 4S, however I'm not sure what the full measurements of them are. The car in the pictures below belongs to forum member "Full Boost" but I haven't been able to get in touch with him regarding them. If anyone has info on the width, backspacing, etc. on them it would help out a lot since I really like this look. Also, if anyone has a used set for sale in excellent condition I may be interested, so let me know!

Additionally, will there be any problems running an equivalent setup on the 4S since it's 4WD instead of 2WD?

Thanks!

The issues w/ running any wheel/tire set on an awd 993 is to keep the front and rear tire heights very close to each other

a problem specific to 19s is the overall height of the tire, the taller the tire, the taller the already tall gearing gets. Stock rear tire height is 24.8-25.3", to get a 19 down to that height range you need a 275/30 or 315/25 then you need matching fronts that will fit in the fenders

Good point Bill, I'll have to keep that in mind! Don't want to have to start replacing drivechain components as a result.

I understand what you mean, but the affected components are
1) ABS which wants <5% difference
2)AWD viscous center diff which is considerably more stringent in that regard

Justin,

Wow - that car is hot!!

I have sent you an email - sorry I didn't reply earlier - I have been out at the track

These will fit your car fine - no issues with fitment, spacing or rubbing.

The different tyres will make a difference tot he overall rolling diameter - but these are truly dependant and change with each company. I personally have never had any issues with ANY tyres....

BTW - these are no longer made by Champion

Simon.
