100 Porsche parade in Singapore

SINGAPORE : Fans will not only get to see F1 cars when Singapore hosts the inaugural Grand Prix in September.
They will also see Porsches racing down the Singapore track as part of a support race.
And come next Friday (14 March 2008), a hundred of these Porsches will be driving down Orchard Road and end their journey at the Padang.
All the cars will be put on display there as part of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia launch in Singapore.
The commemorative drive is just one of many events to celebrate the Porsche Club’s 20th anniversary in Singapore.
There will also be something for the little ones with the launch of the Porsche Kids Driving School.
All these will lead up to the main event — the support race for the Singapore F1 race in September. — CNA/ch
