Default Interior transformation complete!

I finally completed the interior transformation and figured I'd change my user name as well, formerly AVA6603.
As most of you know, I purchased a 1995 Porsche 993 with a TPC Supercharger in November from Larry (Land Jet).
It is not as clean as my first 95 C4, but I didnt want a mint car to track this time around and was looking for a project, plus I always wanted more power from the 993 and the supercharger definitely provides that. Larry, I hope you appreciate the work I did to this special car.
I have been working on it since November to make it more track oriented and freshen up the interior. I got in deeper than I planned, but that is always the case with me. I basically stripped out the old, smelly, blue interior, replaced the heavy carpet with lightweight RS carpet with rear seat/panels delete. Special thanks to Jeff (slvr993) for the RS carpet. Also thanks to AC993C2S for helping with install. The Rs carpet kit is for an older 911 model, but a little cutting, sewing and creativity did the job.
Replaced front door panels with RS lightweight panels. Dyed all the blue vinyl/leather pieces and head liner black. Saved a nice chunk of change going this route.
Covered steering wheel, shifter, ebrake and tray in alcantara with double silver stitching. Thanks to Don at Dallas Custom Steering wheels. I am trying to convince him to cover my dash.
Installed Recaro Pole Positions seats with Alcantara inserts to match.
Powder coated white DAS roll bar.
Installed BBS RS-GT's with Nitto NT01's for track. Thanks ColoradoMark! They balanced well and look great. I am happy I went with the silver finish.
Next up. Paint calipers red, change oil, and have some fun with NNJR PCA on April 4 at Pocono.

Thanks to Dave (007DT) and Glen(Ninjabones) for motivation as they finished their cars much faster.
I went the complete DIY option to cut costs, plus I love to do makeovers myself.

Gorgeous! You're placing bad thoughts in my to do the same with the grey alcantara on my car. I'm guessing you sent everything to Dallas. what was the turn around time?

Al, that looks great.
I like what he did with the little tray behind the ebrake. Cool.

Thanks for all the compliments.

Mark,
I was thinking of you when I designed it with Don. I told him he might as well make two..

Wow, it looks fantastic! Looks like lots of work. I really like the wheels on this car. Just right for this car, color and track orientation.

Less than 5 business days. Don is great and his work is top notch with great pricing.

Really nice job but I gotta ask; Why did you spend money in getting a 4 spoke steering wheel re-covered?? First they're heavy (don't really fit with light/track theme) and hand position is not the best compared to a 3 spoke. If you had to keep your airbag, 996 wheel would of been a nice touch.

Good question. I plan to go with a light weight race steering wheel/no airbag during track season. The cost to recover the 993 wheel was much less than buying a 996 wheel and airbag, plus recovering to use temporarily and have something to swap out when needed. Until I find a 996 wheel/airbag in a dumpster, I will be fine with the 993 covered in alcantara. Once I place my hands around alcantara, hand position does not even enter my mind.
