There was a pristine 300SL with for sale $10K sitting outside my office in Brussels in 1974. White/red with matching luggage. I was 28 making $10K, and begged all my relatives to lend me the money. These "normal" people just don't get it.
Nice pics Mike. Next time call me and I will drop everything.

I was driving back home over Hi Way 17 and I wasn"t even sure anybody was there on Saturdays. If I knew I was stopping I would have invited you.
I will be going back and I will meet you there
Jim Yes it is about 10 minutes from Santa Cruz in Scotts Valley. The showroom in the front I believe is open to the public. The shop and back Stash rooms require a VIP ticket
There were so many more cars There was a Birdcage there as well.Next time I will take more photos.

Wow! 959 Central! It's amazing to see them with so much of their mechanicals exposed. The 934 and
four cam Carrera are tremendous as well! Thanks for sharing!

Jim, Mike is the one with the VIP contact. Shoot us a PM when you are coming and we will make a group out of it. I can go any time, 25 minutes from my house. Just missed the last 2 opportunities.

I can't view the images without signing in, but if they stopped at Bruce Canepa's shop that wouldn't be a surprise. There was a time when he'd have that many 934/935, 956/962's being worked on suimultaneously....as well as the customized trucks he created, etc. Do a search of Google images with the words "bruce canepa porsche" as the criteria and you'll see what I mean.
I was already working around Porsche's for many years before I found out Canepa did the customized trucks and hot rods. I knew he had some of the best Porsche's from all the race results I'd read in the '80s. Add the names Vasek Polak, Preston Henn, Roger Penske, Rob Dyson, Al Holbert, and obviously Brumos, and you've got pretty much the best-of-the-best with Porsche competition in that era. Most of them got their engines, or at least engineering advice, from Andial or Garretson.....or both. It was a fun time to be around folks that were into racing Porsche's since it seemed they won every event they entered.

I couldn't see the pics but I've heard of the shop. They did a lot of
