Question Bent rim straightened but discolored! Fix or No Fix?

One of my SSR GT3 18" rims was bent. I had a local LA shop fix it a few months ago. The rim came back true, but unfortunately slightly discolored from the heating process. It has a blueish spot now! They did tell me this would happen before-hand.

I just learned from another source that this could be avoided. I only paid about $45 to get the rim fixed. I guess I should have paid $200 to get it done right in the first place.

Can the blueish burn be removed? Does anybody know a good place in the Los Angeles area? I am around South Bay!

Cheers,

Johan

Look at some of the Harley type biker magazines. I've seen stuff advertised that is made to remove that bluing from exhaust pipes. I doubt it will get rid of it totally, but any little bit will help.
