Garth - you have PM. Do you still have Pins? Do you have a pic of how you secured them with the safety wire? Thanks.

Q on this...it requires a realignment after doing, or did I misread?

Should not need a realignment ..... might need to lengthen/shorten the tie rods very slightly to perfectly center the steering wheel - that will maintain the same total toe-in ( file an index mark on a hex corner of the inner tie rod 'nut' and adjacent to that on the threads .... loosen the lock nut & turn 1/6 turn ( one wrench flat) & lock down ..... do the opposite direction on the other side .... piece of cake .... do again if req'd, small increments move the steering wheel 1 - 1.5 cm on the rim.

IMHO, a roll pin is far better than any bolting arrangement - and **yes, it does capture both walls of both barrels**.
So by this quote, the original post and pics, and from the PMs, the hole goes all the way through both barrels and both rubber sleeves, unlike the bolt in the sample pic and the quote
from what i can tell, it acts as a sheer pin, but it doesn't go thru both walls.
.

Correct?

Done. Who's next? Only freeway driven so far, but like it. Seems less wandery, if I can make that a word. Looking forward to track testing.

I would like to be added to the list, wherever it is.

Posted question on my other thread but may get answered here:

Is this modification to eliminate any "slop" in the steering wheel? If so, why would there be so much slop in the first place? (looking at cross/section shown on thread) If setting a bolt in the tie rod ends is needed, would an allignment also be in order to "true" up each side?

To address a couple posts up, I used safety wire looped through the pin and tied it off around the outside of the tie rod...no movement from the pins after two track events. I'll check with Peter and in the meantime if someone wants it PM me and we can start a list. I'll give cgfen first right of refusal to go first as I offered it to him first.

1. cgfen (maybe)
2. ......
Should have taken advantage of this 2+ years ago.
Doing it this weekend, thanks to Chaoscreature / Ed and KJR914

Is there a keeper of the list of this particular jig, and if so, can I get on it?

I just completed two jigs. I'm going to try them out this weekend and make sure they are good to go, then I will be able to ship these ones out.

I'm in to whatever line there is...kinda confusing now. And I'm in Texas so that could minimize shipping time
