Default Installation cost for Bilstein HD/Springs

I got a quote today for Bilstein HD/springs and installation for 3k which seem a little high. Since you can buy the parts for 1,500.

I would love to DIY but I got to be honest. I am not handy nor do I trust myself.

Any feedback would be great!

TIA

Budget about $300 per wheel to remove and install the new ones. You are looking at $1k plus. If that was with parts, that looks to be close

Just HD's and springs (MO30) will run you about $1600, install roughly 7 hours--$2300ish would be about right.

With tax, $2500

Add sway bars---roughly $3k.

Alignment and corner balance will add to the cost as well.

I was quoted ~$750 for the install and alignment by a very reputable shop/rennlist sponser who sells lots of those kits here in Tampa...

Cost me $1,050 for M030 springs and sway bars, HD's, and alignment, but no corner balance.

Seems reasonable if includes sways and alignment. It's cheap if it includes corner balance.

I installed my H&R coil over street kit, which has Bilsteins, by myself and had a great shop in Sacramento do the corner balancing and alignment for $ 795.-
They did a great job and I'm happy with the results.

alignment and corner balance at farnbacher loles is going to run me $600, so if you're price includes parts, it doesn't seem too bad. Otherwise, if you have the time, the diy is really quite simple if you follow the great diy directions on this site. I did mine over the course of two weekends and it's a great way to get to know the car.

this was a couple years ago, but looked at the bill yesterday... Bilsteins, H@R, alignment, lowered and corner balanced was just under $2300 installed at a good shop.

Possum Hollow Motorsports in Phoenixville PA. The work is being done in conjunction with a top end, RS clutch/flywheel, etc...so I'm not sure if there's a discount factoring all the other work being done, but $600 is the firm quote.

$2640 for RoW M030/Bilstein HD's, including corner balancing and alignment (but excluding sways).

Parts were $1,800 (plus tax) and labor was $840.

FWIW, work was done at the top shop in the region.
