those are classic dying alternator symptoms...just changed mine last month. Stereo would cut out, then the dash would light up like a christmas tree (Scotty). Eventually, the battery charge will no longer keep any electrics going, to the point that there are no sparks to be had by your plugs and you die on the side of the road....
