Default Searching for 993 wrench in H.B. So Cal?

I'm looking for a knowledgeable 993 mechanic in the Huntington Beach area of So. Cal. for regular maintenance issues. Can anyone provide some feedback on mechanics in this area? Many thanks--aaron

I work in Huntington Beach, but still take my car to Torrance to see Tony Callas. Its not convenient, but he is worth the drive.

If you have to stick to Huntington Beach go see Gary Topal at Factory Werks.
Here's his Info:

Factory Werks 15631 Graham St. Unit C Huntington Beach, CA 92649
(714) 373-4828

Gary is a very nice and honest guy and even Tony would tell you that Gary is a very good mechanic.
When we lived in Cypress I'd drive down and visit with Gary just to get my fill of the "Porsche Shop Smells" that I missed so much after 'retiring' from working with Tony and the team............... The trip from Cypress to Gary's place took me about 20/30 minutes depending on which car I was driving that day.

I will also recommend Gary for regular maintenance. If your requirement is motorsports oriented in any way however, see Betim Berisha (he shares space with Gary). www.bbiautosport.com

Many thanks Joanne! This was just the feedback I was looking for--a good honest, local wrench for reg. maintenance.

Callas is excellent, so is Lomita 911, probably the same distance to HB. I have had P-Cars serviced by Lomita 911 since mid 80s. Ask for Derek. 310-534-3631

You are welcome. I'm glad I could help.

Tell Gary that JoAnne and Robert say hi!

I've been to Callas - Try Autowerkes in HB. http://www.autowerkes.com/

They won't rip you off. I've been using Bruce's (owner) services for years now. He is very knowledgeable about the 993 and very honest which is very rare when it comes to Porsche repair and maintenance these days.

IMHO, I would not recommend Pristine in HB. I had a bad experience with some quotes there... YMMV

gohno--are you in Belmont Heights? My family and I rode by on bikes Sunday and saw a silver S much like yours being scrubbed up. Almost stopped to say hi but didn't want you to think I was casing the joint for a rip-off.
