Man, you guys are pretty tough on cars. How can you say the mileage was "rolled back" !?! just because of interior wear? I don't get that. Intense interior wear can happen on a car with alot less miles than this one. It all depends on the type of driving that was done and the driver himself, not the miles.
In any case, orange rocks on this car. I wonder why the owner decided not to sell it ... for $70K no less! That's a heck of alot of dough for this car.
Oh well. Thx for posting this. I LOVE this car.

I stopped by Truspeed today and saw the car... really nice. They claim that it's not for sale and have rejected a 70k offer. The car was supposedly bought for promotion purposes and will not be sold... that could change in the future though.

There are only two proper responses to the question-
'Do you like a Gulf Orange Porsche 911?'
Either-
'Gulf Orange rules'
or
'I prefer Gulf Blue.'
....what else.

When I first visited the factory some time now, I saw the pre-painting stage each car
passes through. After the primer bath, each car passes to its final color base pre-paint.
No mix or match, all computerized with the barcode scan.
Two workers attack the car and mist-spray the raw color in the interior front deck, engine bay, and every opening in every part. The color is the exact one everyone of us have
on the decklid from the inside.
It is the same final color, without the shiny effect after.
.
If you look at the picture with the decklid sticker, you obviously will see that the orange
paint was sprayed in a perpendicular angle in the holes (bodyshop style), and not
factory style. The orange should be the only color visible in the hole, or any opening on the car, and not primer.
Here is a link of a picture how it is done @ the factory though it is
not the same place I visited

Interesting. Do you therefore think this car had a complete, windows/engine/interior-out respray?
And I did see the primer in the holes as you mention

Look at that Dead Pedal -quite unused, looks like 30k on it to me, throttle pedal as well.
Also, the driver Door Seal- unhaggered.
As for the door panel handle- thats a 'full leather optioned' car, dye could easily fade on edge there -especially if its 31k short trip miles.
Im sure a 'Certificate of Authenticity' would state an exact paint color code.
Its not my car -but I wish it was.
Looks all correct to me.
