Default FS: Ruf Wheelset, 18" for 993NB

Ruf wheelset for sale: 8.5"x18" Front, 10"x18" rear, offsets appropriate for NB 993. Comes with painted Ruf logo on the center caps (guards red). Used during fair weather only on a narrow body 993 lowered to just above RS spec and aggressive alignment with no rubbing whatsoever. Wheels are in very good condition with no curb rash but a few minor nicks from everyday driving. I would rate them as a 8.5 to 9 out of 10. Image posted is just a representation and not the wheels for sale. I will have to go to my storage facility and take some pictures for anyone interested. Wheels are mounted on the car in my crappy avatar picture. The wheels will come mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Ribs (225/40x18"F, 285/30x18"R)which are spent (well, the fronts mights have about 50-60 miles left in them). I will absorb the mounted tire portion of the shipping as I would prefer the protection the tires provide while in transit. Local pick up too but odds are thats not gonna happen. $2500 for the set, new they run $3500. First come first served.

Getting a set of 18" lightweight rims with DOT "R" compounds for Auto-X and DE applications, going back to the 17" Cup II's with Advan Neova's for "regular driving" that came with the car that I bought from some guy in Jersey.

Not to distract from your for sale efforts, but can you explain this choice? Rough roads? Think an ultra-stiff, sticky tire like the Advans on 17s will give comparable performance?

That guy from Jersey probably wouldn't even recognize the car since you've done such a great job with it.

The 17" wheels will be used largely for AutoX and I wanted a tire/rim combination that could easily be driven to and from events as well as not having be be bothered switching out wheels. For DE's its a whole different ball of wax where I want the performance and stickiness of the 18" DOT R spec tires. The 17" cup II's are a bit lighter than the Ruf's too. If I was willing to swap out wheels for AutoX and have a set of race wheels I would keep the Ruf's as I love the way they look and they are bullet proof. However, the wheel inventory is getting too big at my house with two Daily Drivers with winter and summer wheels each as well as three P-cars with two sets of wheels each is a bit much.

I know only enough to be dangerous so I wont answer that. However, Hans and Wayne at Ruf Auto Centre in Dallas have always been very helpful to me with any question I have. I can get the offsets later from the wheels and I would imagine it would be pretty easy to do the math if you know the offsets you need for a WB fitment.

They're the same wheels that RUF sells with 35 mm spacers for the rear wheels for the 993 Turbo, Doug.

Offsets: 8.5 x 18: 58 mm; 10 x 18: 66 mm

I did see the wheels tonight, not sure if pictures will show the handful nicks that exist. Had the camera in hand, battery was exhausted. The offsets are as detailed above. I'll try to get pics tomorrow for those who are interested. They are dusty and I can't really clean them thoroughly as it's 14 degrees outside, guess windshield wiper fluid might have to suffice for now. Thanks for the interest guys.
