mcpiaseczny,
How long does this stuff last? I currently use black magic and another gel type gloss enhancer from Meguiars that both last two-three washes. Does this stuff last longer, or is it something that will wash off?
Thanks.

The packaging says "not less than 6-8 weeks" and I seem to remember it being at least that long, maybe 3-4 months on my daily driver that saw rain, snow, and sun for 50 miles a day, every day. It's been a long time since I've used it so I don't remember. But yeah, it eventually wears off.

Never seen the AG stuff last longer than 3-4 washes to be honest.
I put some Black Wow product on mine at the weekend but was less than impressed by the time it took to do it - think I will end up going down the route of having a second grille sprayed to match the car colour.
Cracking finish in the original post though - wished i had thought of masking the painted edges rather than spending half an hour polishing the residue off!!

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned or used Black-To-Black from Mothers.
I've used it for many years with excelent results. It would work wonders on the badly faded rubber tail of my Alfa Spider and its black bumpers. I use it now on my bumperettes, black rocker panel, and on the plastic wheel wells. You can almost see the plastic absorb this stuff like it's thirsty for it. Nice deep black finish, not shiny, but velvety.
It lasts about 3-4 months, cheap and it can be bought at any PepBoys or Auto Zone.
"As your ride’s exterior ages, rubber, plastic and vinyl exterior hardware of all colors will dry, crack, flake and deteriorate. This oxidation can be stopped and reversed with Mothers® Back-to-Black®, our favorite auto-care concoction. This trim treatment is great for all sorts of exterior hardware in all colors — bumpers, molding, louvers, window trim, vents, seals, skirts, door handles, wiper arms-anything that’s plastic, rubber or vinyl. Apply Back-to-Black® to sun-burnt plastic, rubber and vinyl to revive the factory-new sheen, then re-treat that exterior hardware regularly.

I'll report back on how the autoglym holds up on that grille. I use a vinyl brush to apply it instead of just a cloth so I expect it to penetrate a little better and hopefully last longer than it would otherwise. A friend uses Back to Black and he's happy with it.

I had mine painted.. It looks 400% better.... ( I did it when I switched over to the split grill) but the difference is amazing.. it just blends in with the car and is no longer some odd color in the back..

I have a TT, so I won't use it on the wing as it is body colored. I was thinking about using that stuff on the rear bumperettes since my rear bumper is stock US. Come to think of it, so is my front bumper, but those bumperettes are so small you really don't notice them that much on the Turbo S front bumper. If I ever have a need to paint or replace the front bumper, I will go with the Euro as I did on my 96 993 C2 cab. but I am content for now.

... I'd like to do as good a job as you did .. Did you paint the stuff on and then buff it up?

+1 ...Another vote for the painted grill. The cheapest mod I've done to the car.

When I did some "rear mods" (removal of basket handle, split grill, de-badge) I ordered the split grill through Gert and painted it when I had the Euro Turbo front painted as well- I think the split came primed, so I had to paint it, but it really looked good with the plastic gone..
