Ever work with LA Porsche Salvage Yard?
Has anyone ever done any business with LA Porsche Salvage Yard? Their website is here: http://www.911pcar.com/
Just curious... still trying to find a 1995 993 rear bumper cover and they've got one for much less than others I've found.

Search. Too funny over on the 993 Turbo board. With a customer service attitude like the wife there posted, well let's say I'd have two flamed out businesses.............

Here is a recent thread that is going on right now on the Turbo forum about these guys.

That should give you some idea of who you'd be dealing with.

I'm sure someone here upgraded to the Euro rear bumper and has one around...

Some good alternatives are Parts Heaven (already mentioned above), Oklahoma Foreign, and DC Automotive.
They all tend to network when sourcing hard to find parts.

I tried for weeks to get some decent pricing for steering wheels. They didn't want to negotiate one bit. I ended up finding a brand new wheel at FVD for much less, with hub and all.
My 2 cents, forget it. You'll find better offers somewhere else.

to be honest buying an engine from a salvage yard, let alone an expenditure of USD 23 k is a bit risky without proper PPI... I bought used mufflers from them for the LPMM conversion and ithey were fine. I think it all depends what you buy...

They can choose the way they do business, but by choosing to charge the moon for stuff, they create VERY high expectations. So when they fail to meet them, people are VERY pissed off.

My ears are still ringing from her shrill posts. She was so defensive, she could have formed half of her own football team. She flung so much invective, the EPA is going to start a superfund site on my laptop screen. She . . . I'll stop.
