This is a fantastic upgrade. The way it sucks hot engine air (compared to stock w/ trumpet) and collapses the air filter really optimizes the engine's airflow.

Not a biggie. At idle the air temps might be a tiny bit higher, but at speed there's so much air flowing that there 's really no heating of the air. Net result is a few hp over the stock with trumpet due to less flow restriction.

This mod is ok, just don't use the felt-rimmed filter. But K&N filters have their own issues too...

I just installed this set up today. The Fabspeed piece is very flimsey but fits ok. Over priced. I put in the K&N filter. Seems to fit ok, not perfect. If I may ask what problems have come up with it?

I've fitted the K & N filter a while ago. Could you let me know what the problem or potential problem might be? Thanks

Apparently a couple guys have had to replace their MAF sensor because the oil in the K&N filter damaged the sensor. A lot of people run K&N with no problems, but a couple people have had this issue. If you do a search you'll probably turn up the details about it. IIRC, one was a 993TT.

I have a couple of these lying around too... also, if I go by a $/hp equation these items should be worth alot, well more than "free to good home" that Chris accepted.

Let's see, 3.8 conversion = $12K or so, yields 30 hp.

Fabspeed airbox cover yields 15 hp, so $6000.... I think I'm sitting on a gold mine here.
