"Phantom" CEL and code reader deal at Harbor Freight
Start my car today for the first time in a month. Get welcomed by my first ever CEL. Drive the car for 20+ miles to brunch with good friends at Duke's Malibu. Think I'm the big isht 'till I see the 12+ F-chat guys had the same idea. Figure I get back in the car and the CEL magically goes away. No way, Jose = CEL #2. Drive home 20+ miles, fill 'er up at Mobil and start the car again. CEL #3...fak! Drive 3 blocks to Harbor Freight to get a $40 code reader:

On sale for $35. Things are looking better. Wife handed me a coupon from the Entertainent 2008 "dining" book for 15% off at Harbor Freight. Now I'm down to $32 out the door for this "$50" code reader. Start car, NO CEL!!!! Don't know, don't care, $32 still very well spent. Come home, a little McGuiar's Quick Detail, tuck in car, crack beer and jump on RL.
Any ideas what happened, brothers?
