I have those seats in my Ruf... they are terrific, but snug. Even at the buy it now price of $1500, that is about half price (assuming the seats are genuine leather and not vinyl). If they are vinyl, you can buy them new for that price.

I thought you would chime in Steve . It was not my intetion to make you regret buying your seats and not these. just thought I'd spare someone else the same thing . Maybe RUFUS needs a spare set of seats ? I know you looked fairly long for these..

Viggo,

No sweat by me. If I didn't have these seats already, I'd run down and grab these (LA Dismantlers is local to me). I appreciate you posting these so other folks can make an informed decision. It does appear that at least one of the OUTSIDE seat back adjuster ***** is missing, but that should be easy to replace. I read the ad more closely, and the seats ARE leather... and Koenig uses very high quality leather. This is half price! A very good deal for someone.

They weigh a whopping 5 pounds less each than the factory, standard seats.... by my very precise bathroom scale. Don't buy these to save weight. They look cool, and hold you in place like a glove. They may not fit a heavy guy.

Now Im obligated to buy the Ruf steering wheel -ouch.

Whoa there guys, these don't look like real Ruf seats. They are the model Ruf uses (used) but I'm sure Ruf uses special upholstery, logos etc.

Look at it this way, would LA Porsche--the king of full value +20% or so pricing--ever sell real Ruf seats for ~$1500?

Yes, you are correct... these are not the Ruf branded seats. Ruf sells those seats for $6k/pair. These are the same seats that Ruf uses, but the Ruf seats have the Ruf logo embossed, and have a different tuck pattern. Trust me.. I REALLY wanted Ruf branded seats for my car, but I just couldn't pay the extra $3k for essentially the same seat. Now here they are for $1500.

I "cheated" a little... I had a local upholstery shop make some matching headrest covers that velcro over the original headrests, I then had the Ruf logo embroidered on the covers. Its shameful, I know, but I don't have $6k for seats. I am basically a cheap bastid.

If SM Racing is local to Moorpark, you are welcome to come out and see my seats before you buy.

I was seriously considering these. Waited too long. Back to Recaro CS I guess.

Tom,

I LOVE your avatar. I speaks "motion" because of the twisty road behind the car, and the car is beautifully lit. Nice job.

Yes, who stole those seats?
