Default Rotted Rubber - Upper Air Duct is toast

OK - I'm preparing for maintenance time, going to attempt the 60k maintenance in my garage. Pulled and overhauled a 928 engine once with reasonable success, so now I figure I'll stick my hands into an even more cramped space. So, going to do the usual stuff I see you great writers printing one these pages; SAI port clean out, Oil change, trans oil change, plugs & wires, fuel filter, et cetera. May do the muffler bypass while the parts are out and while its torn apart might as well do the MO30 conversion also

Thing that is bothering me is the air duct (rubber part right on top of the fan shroud. This is cracked and a piece about the size of a dollar bill has fall inward onto the top of the enginer case (can't find it but I can smell it). I've looked through my parts catalogue CD and this appears to be part number 993 106 403 00 (Air Duct). Has anyone else had to buy this part and replace it? Anything unusual or additional that needs bought to complete the job properly?

Thanks - Bill

Easy job.
Three bolts hold it in place.
The part is available for ~ $40.00 from PelicanParts.
Just replaced mine.

Good Luck

+1. Very cheap and simple. Go to pelicanparts.com and you can easily find it. If I had more time I wouldfind the part number for you.

$30.41 from Sunset. Just bought one 2 weeks ago.

Oops...Sorry, that was for the 964, #964.106.403.02, but the 964 part lists for $48 at Pelican so the 993 one should still be about $30 or less from Sunset.
