Maybe you should ask yourself this question as if it were your last day on this earth. Money can buy you pleasure, some false security, and material goods. True happiness is an inner experience that is totally independant of these. When you have it, no one can take it away from you.

Hi DC, sent you a couple of PM's a few weeks (month?) back.

Not sure they were received. Can you email me at matt_lane@silanis.com?

Thanks!

Money doesn't buy happiness...it's the other way around. The idea is the happier a person or the more content you are as a person the more productive and the more initiative you will have thus leading to more success in your life. That success can be many things from your health to your marriage...and yes even money.

I often say that money can't buy happiness . . . but it sure can ease the pain. Can.

Money is not for earners, borrowers. Just spenders.

People with $400million are really no happier than those with $300million.

More money, more problems.

While I can say that I am overall a pretty happy person and life it great, and I do love my 993, I was probably at my happiest 10 to 15 years ago when I barely had a pot to **** in....but had the opportunity to go surf every other day (among other things). Perhaps that had more to do with age, naivety and time than money though. This will give me something to ponder.......

Default You do not need a lot of money to make someone happy...

This project gives me the most happiness and satisfaction. Reading the letters from the beneficiaries is priceless.

Ever time I see a penny, I pick it up. Its not about the penny but rather the feeling I get from finding a penny.

Now if I woke up and found Alvins cars in my garage, I would be happy!!!

Always be happy but never satisified.

Is this directed at me? I am not quoted so I can only assume its a passive aggressive attempt at besmirching what I am/do for a living. Are you inferring that all people in my role are interested in is losing money for clients and making some for ourselves only? Looking for a self affirmation about how you see things today are we? Please clarify. I hope I'm wrong. I was only making a wise crack.

From first-hand experiences, money cannot buy you good health and without that, money and what it does is pretty useless.

Arnold Schwarzenegger says that it is true, that money cannot buy happiness... he said that he wasn't a bit happier with 50 million dollars than he was with 48 million...

No FF. That wasn't directed at you. Typed words sure can be interpreted alot of different ways. Sorry about that. By "YOU" I meant in a broader sense anyone who is chasing money. Im suggesting that the statement about hapiness not coming from money is said by people trying to keep it for themselves and trying to convince others not to get it for themselves. Ridiculous really. My statement had nothing to do about investing for others etc. I'm a former Morgan Stanley broker btw.

Look, all I was trying to say was this:

$$$$

bought

my 993 (Happiness)

So money CAN buy Happiness.

That's all. It was a tongue n' cheek post on a slow Porsche news day. And Andreas, I am LOVING my Turbo S Duct install. I get comments on them all the time. The guy that installed them did an excellent job.
