Default Warning Light Fix for Active Spoiler

I recently put a Club Sport wing on my car, deleting the active spoiler. I'm getting a warning light for the rear spoiler now when the factory spoiler should be up, ya know above 50mph. I recall months ago reading about a fix for that but I haven't been able to find it...

I'd appreciate some help with the fix...

Thanks

Underneath your dash on the passengers side there is a flat black connector that plugs into a metal box. I dont have any pics of it, but if you unplug it--the light goes away. You'll have to pull the carpet back a bit to see it.

Here is the DIY from Robin's site, it involves fooling the system by connecting some wires on the rear spoiler connector:

Or you can pull it from the front spoiler control box as AC992C2S said.

This is the route I took and it works perfect. It took me less than 2 minutes to complete. Good luck.

Funny story with that. For years I haven't had my retractable spoiler installed on my car and I removed the spoiler control module from the car when I deactivated the spoiler warning light. So years later when I was selling my 993 I had to install the retractable tail back. After moving from state to state over the years I had to take apart my garage to find that control module. A word of caution, dont' remove the module, just unplug it is good enough. I removed mine to save weight. LOL!
