Any one used brass nuts and bolts for the exhaust clamps?

McMaster-Carr has improved their website a great deal since I last ordered from them. It was much easier to find the SS & silicon-bronze hardware in addition I ordered a collection of metric wave washers for my parts bin.
For those interested it's www.mcmaster.com
Thanks Jon and the rest of you.

If your whole exhaust system has been treated with ceramic coating, does this affect the kind of hardware (clamps + nuts etc) needed to fit the system? Or is it OK to go with SS or silicon-bronze hardware?

Use stainless steel. You can buy that at Ace Hardware or order from McMaster-Carr.

Others beat me to it, but you can look here to decide what metals to use and avoid dissimilar metal corrosion:

Great thread,....
The very best hardware for exhaust systems are copper-plated nuts. These can be used with any kind of steel bolt and will not corrode.
Been using such things for 34+ years without any grief,...
If a person is a bit O/S, one can always apply some copper or nickel-based anti-seize on the threads for more insurance.
