I'll buy it if there is any way of getting it to Philadelphia on the cheap? Anyone coming cross country? I've already got the Da lan hitch... been looking for the trailer.

Forgot to mention but I have the da'lan hitch for the 993 as well

I'll sell it for 150. No holes required it attaches behind the license plate on the towing eye of the car

55 mph by law. i have driven 65-70 on it in the past, but for short periods... i'd be worried about building too much heat in the trailer tires.

I'd love something like that but I don't think I could make it just going 55 for 63 miles to the track each way...

55 mph is California law. Trailer speeds vary state to state, but besides Cali, I have never driven in another state that has a posted trailer speed limit. That said, I have towed a similar trailer equipped to pull my Ducati ST2 which weighs in at 475 lbs I believe. Pulled the combo from SoCal to Omaha, NE at an average of 75-80mph with no issues. Used the same trailer years earlier to pull a BMW R1100 from Omaha to SoCal. I think that towing just tires and a few tools aren't going to over do it on those tires. Oh, and I have found that as long as I stayed below the speed of the general flow of traffic in California (which will put you at least 65 mph), I was fine going over 55 mph pulling my Airstream the many thousands of miles I pulled it in Cali.

Boris, do you have all of the required hardware (nuts, bolts, washers, etc) to mount the hitch? According to the instructions I downloaded on the web, there is drilling required. Looks like you need to drill holes into the mounts behind the bumperettes. Will you include shipping in your price?

Lastly, can you provide any pictures of the tire rack without the tires on the trailer? I want to see how it was done so I can modifiy my trailer into a track trailer.

Thanks,
Mike

This da'lan hitch...it just threads into the car tow, that is centered behind the license plate?? Are they still available new?

If somebody takes the trailer, but not the hitch, put me in line for the hitch.

the hitch threads into the car tow and in addition you need to drill holes into the rear aluminum under the rear bumperettes. so it has one central bolt and two on the bumperettes that it uses more for positioning that anything else.

The tire trailer i designed is sort of a convertible trailer. I had a tow hitch receptacle welded on the frame of the trailer with extra support as well. Into the tow hitch receptacle i slide in a tire tail (www.tiretail.com). The nice things about this is that you can use it as a regular trailer or a tire tote by unplugging the tiretail and putting the top cover on.

I'll try and take some pics...
