Default After market side skirts reversable?

Hey guys.

Just out of curiosity, are Gemballa/Techart side skirts reversable? How are they initially fitted to the car? Are they glued, epoxied or bolted? Any drilling of the original rockers/rear fenders involved? Worst case scenario would be that the skrits required removing or cutting of the original fender, but I don't think so. If there are holes in the quarter panel they can be covered and repainted, although that would be a lot of work. I personally like the OEM look better. Could be so simple as just removing (glued), then 3M adhesive remover, then sanding then priming then painting? I recall reading somewhere of a guy with Techart skirts who removed them just for "cleaning". Sounds promising.. Here are some pics of the side skirts I mean: TIA

I usually like the clean, skirtless look of the NB, but I really dig the skirt in the second photo; it looks "right" on that white coupe with those wheels and that front spoiler. BTW, it looks like the two skirts you have shown are not the same.

There was an article about Uwe Gemballa in one of the recent "Excellence" issues, and his looks, his hair style (an updated Euro-mullet), his clothing choices just explained everything I've always suspected about Gemballa the company.

The faux-air-intake just in front of the rear well: such a ripoff of So-Cal special Ford Probes!

The Gemballas are screwed on - wheel wells and underneath. (Don't know about the others.) Shouldn't be a problem reversing, though you'll need to work on the paint a bit. You will have to supplement your diet, to replace your dairy loss, however. IMHO, I think big-*** spoilers, carbon fiber and widebodys look cheesy. To each his own. And, I sorta prefer the NB look, too. The Probe comment is just so east coast.

Is it just me, or is the color of the aftermarket bits in the 2nd pic WAY off?

It looks like the car is Grand Prix White and the pieces are Glacier White.

The second ones are cool, same as those used by Ruf on my CTR-2, held by screws underneath and probably two way tape.

Your eyes are fine. IIRC, the owner of that car posted the pics after he test mounted the one side. I believe it was still just the gel-coat, and not painted. I also think he put them up for sale after getting some feedback.
