Thumbs up GROUP BUY - Carnewal P93 M033 Suspension Package with Bilstein HD shocks - setup 2

I sent a message to Gert for a possible group buy for the suspension package bellow:

P93 M033 Suspension Package with Bilstein HD shocks - setup 2

or: http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p93105.htm

and got the following message:

"
Hi Freddy,

I can always make you a good deal as from 5 sets but the biggest problem at this moment is the Euro vs Dollar exchange rate.

Big savings however can be had when we can ship all in one parcel instead of shipping all kits separately.

Let me know if this is doable.

Thanks,

Gert.
"

Can we manage to get 5 buyers at the list? It seems there are already 2 interested ones!!

Freddy, I am very interested depending on a couple of things:
1. I close the deal on the 993cab I am looking at (fingers crossed)
2. Price (as Gert said, xchange is not friendly right now)

Hi Mark,

Some guys are saying it might get worst this year... so in case we go for it we better do it sooner than latter...

As soon as we get 5 interested guys I will try to get the best possible price from him... let's see... we are still touching ground to see how it goes...

I will keep my fingers crossed for your Cabrio... I can't live without it

I would definately be interested in this buy.

Two newbie questions though:

1. What would be a ball park number on cost?

2. What is the diference between M030 and M033 springs (I think I read it once before on here, but not sure)? I'm under the impression they both lower the car to the euro height, but one offers a stiffer (more track oriented) ride than the other. I want the lowered stance with the spring that offers the "softer" ride.

From Gert's site:
What's the difference between the M033 and the M030 springs?
The M030 is a sport sport suspension. The M030 springs will make the ride lower and sportier while the M033 springs will lower the car but it will remain comfortable like the stock suspension.

Hi sdcabrio,

We will get his price as soon as I get 5 interested guys... we are going for the setup you like:

P93 M033 Suspension Package with Bilstein HD shocks.
This package comes with Bilstein shocks and M033 factory lowering springs. For every '94 to '98 P93.

Setup 2:
M033 springs with Bilstein HD shocks of which the fronts have 30mm extra thread. Click here to see a detail of the front shocks.
Lowers the car from 10mm (2/5") up to 45mm (1"3/5).

Bilstein shocks come with a lifetime warranty .

Setup 2 : 1.175 Euro shipping included Dollar Conversion
Includes:
Bilstein HD shocks for front and rear.
The front shocks have 30mm more thread. Click here to see the front shocks.
Front and rear M033 Lowering springs.

This setup is used with the stock stabilizer bars.

What's the difference between the M033 and the M030 springs?
The M030 is a sport sport suspension. The M030 springs will make the ride lower and sportier while the M033 springs will lower the car but it will remain comfortable like the stock suspension.

This is a nice setup as we have the option to lower the car whenever we want from 10mm (2/5") up to 45mm (1"3/5)...

M030 is for the stiffer ride that I do not want on my car...

Let's keep counting how many of us wants the kit...

Hi Dan,

Please check what they can do for an equivalent (same) set and of course we will go for the best value!

Cheers,

Freddy

Default Bilstein HD

Mark - I gave him those part numbers as part of the package.

I suggested three options:
Shocks only
Shocks and springs (H&R or M030)
Shocks, springs and adjustable sway bars.

I will forward info as soon as I get it.

I am getting confused (situation normal).

Not sure it matters when it comes to setting up a GB price but this was started targeting the M033 springs.
Not sure what part #s you gave him? Pelican doesn't list M033 springs or the extended thread Bilsteins on their site. Unless I missed them... which is very possible.

Just trying to be sure we are comparing apples to apples.

I might be interested in an M033 kit, yes. Wonder if we could have them all sent to you and then you send them to us??? Make sure you don't have to 'sort every piece out'. They should come as 5 or more
'kits' in one shipment? Ditto on the Sunset suggestion. I order from Sunset a lot and I recall asking about the M033 springs. Seems like they would have to order them from Germany anyway. Hopefully the Carneval-supplied kit would come with all the fixing hardware and piece-parts to make it come together on the car painlessly, relatively.
