Recently my shift linkage gave way and I was stranded on the side of the road. I called and received a flat-bed tow. Unfortunately, as the tow dude was putting my 993 on the truck, he ripped the rear bumper by lifting the car at too steep an angle to clear the bumper. After my insurance company took care of sueing the tow company to get my bumper replaced, I'm finally ready to find a replacement. There are many places that sell brand new rear bumper covers but I was wondering if anyone here would like to part with a used rear bumper cover in very good condition that would fit a 1995 993 normally aspirated in mostly stock condition? I've never done anything with the body although I do want to put a Euro front bumper on it some day in the near future.
NOTE: Never, ever sign the paper the tow company gives you unless you are absolutely sure there is no damage. If there is damage and you sign it, you just bought yourself a lawsuit to get the damages repaired. AND, signing it does NOT mean they are not responsible for the damages they caused. People are responsible for their own actions. Anyway, I digress.
If you've got something of interest, please drop me a PM here. My 993 is Pearl Black but any color will do. I've already got someone ready to prime, paint, and install it.
I just replaced mine with a Turbo bumper, so I have a bumper that I would be willing to sell. It is Midnight Blue and has pitting from 80k miles, so would need a respray, but it is otherwise all in tact. I also have the grill and the lower portions, but they are scrapped a bit. I haven't given it much thought until I saw your post, so PM me with an offer. EDIT: Oops, disregard, I see you need a rear bumper, not the front.
Ok, well thanks everyone who responded. Either no one has one available or this thread just hasn't been read by the person who does have one. Looks like I'll have to go with a new rear bumper cover instead.
