Default RS tie rod

Does anyone know if you can use an RS tie rod inner with the stock outer portion of the tie rod. I know that the RS and stock tie rods are configured differently so that the RS tie rod can work with the geometry of a lowered car. My car isn't lowered, but when I replace the tie rods, I might want to consider the RS inner if it can be used with the stock outer. When I sent an email to Sunset asking this question, they just sent me a quote for the whole RS tie rod. I don't know if they'll just sell me the inner, but I figured some of you guys might know whether I can use the RS inner with my stock outer.
Thanks for any help.

To the best of my knowledge you would have to have the EVO Uprights to work properly with the RS tie rods. You cannot mix the parts.

Thanks for the response. At least I don't have to worry whether it's worth the extra cost.

I would be interested to know if the RS 'inner' tie rod piece is of a stiffer material.

The RS inners are a harder durometer rubber and they interchange with the stock ones,...
