Why don't we set up a swap with the guys in Europe. They get red, we get amber and all we pay for is the shipping!

I've never had a problem getting through inspection in VA with my Euro lenses. I did, however, have to do some cutting with a Dremel to make the bulbs fit.

RL, it's strange but I didn't have to do this on my car. The only difference between the U.S. and Euro lights in my case was the color of the lenses.

I've proposed a swap in the past and have posted on it but didn't get anywhere with it. I'm very much for it and if anyone has amber lights they want to swap out. You can have my red ones.

Following where Noah has so boldly trod, I, too, am going amber at the rear, so to speak. Is this the automotive equivalent of "carpets matching the drapes," as I already have amber front and side turn signals.

Here in Norway you need to have orange turn lights, otherwise one will not make it through annual inspection.

People here are going from amber lights to the red lights that blink with a orange light (did that make sense ?)
This light : http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx/p93125.jpg

The US light does not blink with a orange light if you put a orange bulb in it.

The tail red euro tail lights i bought did not have holes for side marker bulbs like the us lamps i took of the car (but could easily have been dremmeled out).

Sorry if i broke some dreams by posting this.

I did this swap about a year ago with fellow Rler "centerpunch". Was a successful deal and all we paid for was shipping. However, the US spec. red lights are not totally identical to the euro red taillights. as you can see on this link, the outermost parts of the rear tail light assemblies are not as red as on the US spec. ones. The euro tails are more "transparent red".. The US spec. ones are not certified in all european countries..

Noah, not to step on your toes but if I were you I would try and polish the centersection a bit with some kind of abrhesive compound.. The difference in finish between the centersection and the tail lights is especially obvious in pic 2. Maybe its just me being picky.. Otherwise I love your setup with the badge delete, the wheels and the amber tails

It looks pretty much the same I think. The only difference I know of are the rear foglights (not present in US model) but I'm not 100%..

The center section is sections are identical but where the Euro cars have the fog light bulb sockets the US cars have plugs which one can take out .

I have a set of amber lights off my UK c2s which are currently on a slow boat from England.

I'll post them for sale when they arrive...
