You say you are an "old" member. Age doesn't matter here!

I wonder when I'll take her to VIR ? I have been on track once in the last 3 years, I'll have to re-learn everything.

Blue Ridge Parkway - spent a lot of time there in my youth, it's still 45 MPH right ?

tmc,
Never worked for the Q. Came out to "The OC" for Rockwell which became Conexant Semiconductor, then moved to San Diego to join startup RF Magic which was acquired by Entropic Communications. Thought I'd be in CA 2 years...10 years later I'm beginning to think my estimate was a bit off...

DB_NC_83SC,
I was so jealous of your mascot, I had to procure one for myself!!! He's even getting shipped to NC (the parents' place) hopefully in time to be one of my Christmas presents. (Buying your own presents is THE way to go! Always get what I wanted... ) I'm headed back this weekend and can't wait for BBQ and sweet ice tea.

Ok Keith, I have to ask, is it LeMans white suit motorsport bear or RS Spyder ALMS motorsport bear. These are important issues you know !

I hope he's there in time to celebrate Christmas with you ! :-)

Travel safe !

finally took some outside pictures, darned drought here, I can tell the paint's in good shape but I can't home-wash in order to dry it and clay/polish/wax and it really needs all 3 ...

lousy pictures of a dirty car, but I am loving it....

Stock, yes...(My gage rings ARE removeable)

Nice, nice car, Beautiful interior (She will love it) - but remember, 95' GR 993's are slightly quicker.

Cool The kinder, gentler Board...

Out of respect to new members, and new 993 owners, nobody rolled with. "She's used to a raw, loud, stiff SC."
This type of inane, juvenile comment as taken out of context above in Blue, is atypical.

On a serious note, I went from a SC (80SC Weissach Coupe), a car I truly enjoyed, to a 993...a quantum leap to be sure. All the creature comforts and raw power with incredible handling bone stock...sure you can do all the suspension mods, etc., but the 993 is a great car bone stock. I have had mine for nearly 8 years, wouldn't part with it. It has been extremely reliable...have 72,000 miles on the beast.

The first mod, yes there may well be modifications, we can't seem to leave these cars alone, could be to achieve a better muffler sound.

Chris, over in Wilmington NC, hand fabricates mufflers and cat bypass pipes for the 993. The sound is great and the craftsmanship world class. You owe it to yourself to check out these muffs. Drop him an e-mail.
