I kinda agree with Martin... I never had dust build up on the back of my decklid until after I installed the RS tail. Now, no matter what, even after I wash the car and go for a short dirve, I have dust all over the back decklid and bumper. At first I thought it was soot from tires or oil but being a black car, it's clearly dust. I would confirm that it's oil before making any financial committments.

I'm glad it was nothing more serious. But like you, I'd pay to fix my car because I'm keeping it.
