Default HEATED SEATS SWAP OUT

Just wondering here if it is possible to swap out "NON" heated seats with factory heated seats and make it work?
same question with Full power seat swap on a non comefort seat car?
would love the input and also like to hear if anyone has tried this mod.

Jack

Yes, it's plug and play.

I'd be interested if anyone wanted to trade a set of cashmere heated seats for my very nice non-heated cashmere ones, it's getting cold up here in New England.

Vic, I have a heating element cheap if you need it (aftermarket). Never gotten around to installing it, then bought heated Recaro.

Will it work with any seat? Does it have an external switch?
I am interested. Please PM me with the info.
Thanks

How hard to install, Mike? You have to take the leather off the seat, as I recall, with hog-ring pliers, etc ...

Not sure, Vic, I've never gotten around to doing it before I bought the Recaros.

How fast do your recaros heat up, and do they stay on or cycle? My recaro sport toplines don't do nearly as well as the stock ones I took out in terms of heating. The stock ones got downright toasty...

Recaros heat up fairly fast and do cycle. The overall heat can be described as "not much at all".

I have not had the stock heated Porsche seats, so can't compare. But heated OEM seats on other cars I've had were much warmer than Recaros.

Stock heated seats get quite toasty. the other thing I like a LOT about them is that they stay warm untill you turn them off.
