Option code "00051" need help!

Option code "00051" need help!

There seems to be an inconsistency among the answers to what this option code really means. Please advice here. I have a lead on a car and need to make up my mind. Is it the 3.8 ltr option or not? The car does NOT have the "X51" option, only the "00051" option. TIA

Did my research on thisone.. It appears that the five digit codes are almost impossible to decipher.. this car is manufactured from the Exclusive programme, which means that basically this code can mean just about anything. If any of you have any leads though, please advise. Car is a '97 C2S

It is not the 3.8 engine option. That would be a seperate code listed beside the transmission code. I'd say that there is a 5% chance it relates to a piece of interior trim. Most of the 000 codes are.

Thats what I thought... but a 5% chance.. Whats the other 95%??

Adrian Streather's bible lists X51 code as an engine upgrade for a 996TT in the Exlcusiv option list. Highest # code he shows is 990 - no 5 digit # codes.
