Default Is there a list of recommended PPI agents?

After reading some of the many posts describing not so reputable used car dealers, I was wondering if a good way to combat that would be to start a database on very meticulous and skilled PPI agents that people have used in various cities. I used on in Houston that helped me negotiate $3500 off the price of a $7000 944 turbo I bought in 2001, and another $3000 off the price of a 993 tt that I will be picking up this month

Yeah, it came up... and someone apparently had an idea to put together a book and charge $20 for the service. I think it would be a nice idea to have someone sift through all the information and provide this type of information in book format. However, it doesn't necessarily preclude us from listing shops on this forum with which we've personally had experiences. It would be nice to have one thread with a detailed list, rather than have to see posts every day from people looking for PPI suggestions.

I wonder though if such a database might become stale pretty quickly and not be updated like one would hope. It just as easy to search for "PPI Houston" or whatever and if you find nothing or the suggestions are old, just ask the question on the forum.

Mayo Performance 15221 Baccarac Court Euless, TX 76040 817-540-4939

These guys just did one on a car in question. They seem to be quite competent and thorough.

So, since you are coming to Dallas, I assume the PPI went well. JT's car is nice, you are very lucky. I drove it once, it sure is hard to get it to burn rubber even after dumping the clutch. You know that I am joking.

I think would be a great idea to have a list of "reputable independent Porsche mechanics" nationwide (and also around the globe)...and have it as a "sticky thread" for immediate help...

I'd suggest a couple in South Florida...
