Mini-Roadtrip pix: 3,015 miles in 7 days CA>NV>UT>ID>MT>Yellowstone
I wanted to find out if my past 2 years of DIY maint on our daily-driver 97 Tiptronic Coupe were performed properly so Capt. Liyin and me took it for a 3K drive. I did earn my 2 bottles of Madeira if I may say so myself. These pix are hot off the USB cable: got home yesterday. We left w/ 78,xxx on the clock and returned with 81,xxx. Best mod ever

Great trip, Dan. Your car loves you for this. From the pic, it seems your wife had a good time too.

That's awesome. I think it's a shame that so many of these cars spend their lives traveling only a few miles at a time when they're such a pleasure to take long distances. I've often dreamed of doing a similar trip one of these days.

The P-car is really a living, breathing being which responds to attention and neglect much like its biological counterparts. We are very lucky to have gained this understanding, which is multiplied by a co-pilot who also understands.
