I went with black cause I figured they would get coated with brake dust anyway.

Someone told me recently that the Porsche-original brake rotors come already painted silver. My black car has 'silver' hats and the red car has rusty hats. He said the silver ones were original Porsche-part rotors. Does that sound right?

Mine are OE and they are silver but a bit dull now so it looks like black may be the consensus. The tips may follow Tony!

Yes - that is what mine look like - a gray-silvery appearance (left one). I think the 'gray' looks good because it does not draw your eye to it. Rusty ones draw the eye and I almost think that black would too unless it was a flat black. But then black hats might show dirt, etc. better than gray? How about a satin Silver finish???

I painted mine with Rustoleum Machine Gray, which is about the same shade as the original primer color, but has a gloss finish. Brake dust hoses off easily.

I'd go with black hats. With those wheels, it would make the rotors appear to "float".

I repainted mine silver to match my silver wheels. Yours would look better in black.

Since I go through brakes fairly quick (a set approx. every 18mos) I leave them OEM, but if I had your decision to make, I would go Black.
