Default Another suspension thread

There is a good information out there about suspension upgrades. I have read a lot of stuff but before I get my PSS9's installed, I just want to clarify a couple of questions.

I plan to lower to RS right hight +10mm. The intended use is 95% street and 5% track.

Here are my questions:
1. Are there any rubbing issues in the rear with 18" wheels and 285/30 Pirelli Zeros? (I want to avoid rolling the fenders)

2. Do I need additional suspension parts in addition to the PSS9 kit? (e.g. M030 ROW sway bars show up a lot). If yes, what do you guys recommend and why?

3. What alignment spec would you recommend for my intended setup / use?

Looking forward to your feedback (and to get rid of SUV right hight)

Thanks,
Erik

Your wheel offesets will directly determine the maximum tire width for your application. I'm running 295/30/18 Yokohama Advan Neova's (a very meaty tire to begin with) on 18" Kinesis K28's. No rubbing or rolled fenders. Search this forum for maximum tire widths and/or wheel offsets, a ton of great data.

My suspension component recommendations are in my signature (and as soon as I can allocate the funds, GT2 EVO uprights with motorsports tie rods will be added).

Setup is VERY subjective! My own preference would be considered quite aggressive for street use (ride height is working up a bit from the 993RSR but still within the lowest limit approved by Bilstein), TRG sway's set to medium F/R, again if it were me spend the extra $$ for corner balance, PSS9's at 3/3....exact alignment settings private, sorry.

Your idea to go RS+ 10mm is a good one. Also, if you are working with an experienced tech (this should be a given), work with him and trust him. Articulate your intended use (be specific...for example, my car is 100% street use, no daily rough highway commuting and lots of very regular exercise to full operating temp on nicely surfaced twisties) driving style, etc... and he'll know what to do. If you're really committed then take the fun part option....set your car at full soft (9/9) and drive a bit of varying road then repeat at full stiff 1/1 to establish your seat of the pants range. Then dial in from there. Lots of mostly street user's here prefer settings as low as 4/5 - 5/5 on the low right to 9/9. much fewer in the 1/1-/4/4 range which will stiffen more noticeably between settings than softening does upwards past 5/5 (take care in ensuring you can clearly see and accurately set your PSS9's, it's very tricky once your car is lowered and not on a lift).

Hope this helps...please post pics when done.
