I want more hp is re mapping worth the $ please help

Opinions vary but it is probably the best bang for your buck. You can also look at a light weight flywheel and re-gearing.

I read here at one time that turbos benefit far more than normally aspirated cars do from this procedure.

What kind of car do you have? A 96+, obviously, but...
