993 Tech Session at Callas Rennsport coming up! Mark your Calendars!
Tony Callas of Callas Rennsport enjoyed doing the 993 Tech Session for the Rennlist /PCA / POC group so much last year that he's agreed to do another one this year. There were so many Rennlister 993's in the parking lot, it looked like Vasek Polak back in 1997 !!
Here are the Specifics:
DATE: December 1st
TIME: Noon
PLACE: Callas Rennsport
19080 Hawthorne Blvd.
Torrance, CA
Please RSVP by posting a reply to this thread. Tony needs a head count as there will also be folks attended from all the Zone 8 PCA Regions and POC other web forums and Tony's customers. If you know any other 993 owners or wanna be owners please invite them to come by and learn more than they really want to know about our beloved 993's.
Also if there is anything that you'd like Tony to try to cover during the tech session let me know and I will forward your request to him.
As things get firmed up I will keep you updated. I think someone is currently working on getting Pacific Porsche (Lenny) and Terry Wells of PCNA involved like they were last year.

Absolutely! Maybe +1
Suggested topics:
Maybe break into a "basic" and "advanced" groups with two different tracks?
- I hear he has an old pit crew video or two(?)
- What's involved in his top end re-builds (down to rod bearings, IIRC)
- Fan resistors replacement
- Lightweight flywheel vs. stock?
- Rear Main Seal replacement?

I will be there as well. HP mods are always a favorite topic on RL (none really, other than supercharger or turbo conversion) or maybe top 5 or 10 recommended mods. It would be interesting to hear his take on the matter.

Tony.....I like those topics too. My own .03 would be to suggest a discussion about OIL. Optimal temperature range, frequency of changes, and types/grades of oil. Lots of discussions and opinions on RL regarding this.
