Battery dead need advice
I'm a relatively new owner of a 97 C2 coupe. Was out of town for a month and the battery is dead (even the red alarm status lights on the doorsills are not flashing). I haven't tried to open the car manually with the key yet as I'm wary of screwing something up with the alarm system. My Range Rover has certain procedures to reset the kill switch after the battery has died and I figure the 993 must also. I'll have to open the door manually to get to the owner's manual in the glove box. Is there anything I need to know/do when opening it up manually so as not to upset the immobilizer?
OK, found some older threads on this and think I can sort it out. Just open the door manually with the key, replace battery, and alarm should reset with keyfob right? Radio code I have with the owners manual.
