So how was YOUR commute today?

Mine was long. Car service picked me up at 6 AM CT, sat in the back seat for 30 minutes to DFW. Got in the plane and flew to LAX. Made it in plenty of time for my 10AM meeting in LA. 5 hour commute. Then I had other meetings until 9 PM PT. Ah, the luxurious lifestyle of work travel.

Im driving a couch, 2 laptops, and a pda this morning as I watch traffic backed up on the local news. Hit my local Starbucks in my kitchen and going to work up in Park City in a bit--but not leaving until the traffic lightens up a little.

Cruising to get to the fwy making sure the shifts don't go higher than 3k,
finally get to the fwy temp looks good. Open her up on the on ramp a little enough to hear the Varioram. What a sound put her in 5th taching at 3K rpm still passing cars.
This car is too much fun and addicting.

Great morning to drive the cab from Vienna to Rockville and no traffic! Planning to get the undercarriage pressure washed at a local car wash during lunch break. Had it on the lift last night and could not believe how much gunk has accumulated.

My favourite time of year in the UK - clear blue skies with an Autumn temperature. Sunroof open with heater on and 16 miles to the beautiful Roman city of Bath to look forward to. Great mix of city driving and then A roads by which time the oil temp is right to increase the noise. Windows down as approach work - covered car park allows full appreciation of the RSR's

24 hours later, another enjoyable ride home. Makes me wonder why I have left the car in the garage for two months at a time sometimes.........
Nice to hear of everyone's experiences. Even if it is stumbling over the dog to get the paper to sit at the desk in the home office (which I have done, except with a Porsche repair business).
Best wishes on a speedy recovery for our patient above!

Commute takes a mildly twisty road (including a couple of smallish tunnels, and with very few stops) through the forest... very pleasing sounds out back, especially with top down.
However, according to long-range forecast it looks like we've had our last dry 70+ day for at least a week.

Outstanding! 35 miles of semi-twisty Colorado 115 in the TT under clear blue skies and 70 degrees... I know, I know, but I don't drive the 993 to work-no covered parking and it's dusty.
