Basically the same mileage. Amazing.
I know they produced more 996s and 993s are the last air cooled, but still... almost $35K difference... amazing.

Actually Ray just sold a 5700 mile 964 turbo 3.6 for $98,000 so The 993TT's and 964 T 3.6's are about even with the 996TT's selling for less. Too many 996TT's made and leased.

try sell your 993TT for that stupid price and you will see what happens...
You can buy a nice one Porsche pre-owned approved for 60's and the best ones for 70's and maybe a pristine for 80's. Nevertheless, although is one of my favorite 911 the car doesn't worth that kind of amount.

Doubt the car will go at that price.
993 is a great car and the 993 TT one of the greatest in that family, but for more technology at that sort of price point I would go with the 996 turbo no questions asked. It just is so much more car for the money (aesthetics and air cooled discussions aside).
The "baseline" 993 (even a TT) is still a little too new and too common for me to be commanding such high premiums typically associated with "rarer" cars. Now if we were talking about a 993 GT2 or 993 RS or RSR or the super rare 993 speedster, that would be an entirely different matter, and I would be happy to be paying the premiums over the newer 996 GT2 or 996 RS for example.

I think the point you guys are all missing is these are not your average run of the mill cars. They are incredibly low mile in factory new condition. There are collectors all over the place looking for just these cars that could care less what they cost. The 996TT will never be in the same class for one primary reason too many were made and are not exclusive. Low mileage cars are all over the place. It doesn't make it any less than what it is just not rare.
Believe you me, Ray will get his hi price eventually or damn near close. If it doesn't sell at that price it will be traded for an equally fine example of something else. There are many people out there not looking for a pristine driver but a car to lock up in their collection and Ray has those cars. So you may prefer a 996TT for performance but others want the 993TT or 964T for exclusivity. I love my 94 turbo and wouldn't trade it for any other turbo made (had several options too and passed) I prefer the raw fun of it myself, the others are just too refined and not as much of a challenge to drive. I still appreciate the others but my first choice is my 94 I also might be swayed because it is a one of a kind. With only 410 US spec cars made people are now paying MSRP for low mileage examples. I like my car a lot but would never spend that much for one even in Cobalt blue.

If you had $50 million in the bank, you would not care if the car you wanted was $100K or $110K...you would buy based on quality and condition not price.
Some people buy the car and some people buy the price.
Neither is "better".....but different people have different needs.
Slight subject change.....watch the list prices of Ray's cars. While there may not be a direct relationship between list price and selling price, there IS a relationship between the trend of the list prices and the trend of the selling prices. Anyone else seeing these either holding steady or increasing?
