Wow
Looks like a great deal. What a wonderful DD this would make. I am a bit curious about the windshield issue. How much does that cost? As this is an "existing" issue, you cannot claim it on insurance.

I bet the windshield is $700-1,000. What is that paint spot on the driver's door. I also suspect something else going on here, maybe a CEL? Either way, that is a great price and I would have jumped all over it.
Good find.

I buy and sell many cars and from what the picture looks like someone got way to happy with a buffer. What happens is the compound eats through the clear coat and you get exactly what he has on the door. The compunds and cutting pads produce a ton of heat causing this issue. IIRC he also said there are other spots on the car. Probably the same thing happened. The only remedy is to paint the damaged panel. You can always take more off you just can't put it back on. Either way painting is a must to fix the problem.

Assuming there's no imminent SAI issues, it looks like this would be a list to bring to driver status:
- Paint - figure $8K? Pictures show it to be in rough shape all around
- Windshield - $750
- Top fix - $???
- interior carpet replacement - $???
It also mentions that she's willing to accept offers, so say you could steal it for $20K even. That still probably puts you in the mid-30's for a pretty sharp car. Hmm...

If it were closer I would most definitely consider. I could take the car apart, strip it , have it painted and put it back together for about 4K. This of course is my labor for free. I can put a carpet set in myself, farm out the top/headliner replacement. There is money to be made on this car. Now that I think about it I may have request a lookie from a fellow R-Lister. I guess open trailer shipping would be around 1000.00-1500.00. HMMMMM.
