At Don Jackson's in Phoenix:
(12) qts of Mobil1@ $8.39 each
(2) Oil filters @ $20.25 each
Labor: $90.00
Total: $231.18
If it makes you feel any better the local Stealer charges nearly $400.00 for the same oil change, but they do give you FREE coffee and donuts!

Why pay someone to do it when you can have all the fun for yourself?
Filters and plug gaskets were maybe about $20-30 at Sunset Porsche.
Purchased 12 quarts of Mobile 1 at about $6.50 a pop plus tax with a few quarts left over to top it off from time to time as needed. Call it $80.
All in the job costs less than $100 plus you get some personal time with your favorite toy without putting on any miles or causing any additional unneeded valve guide wear

I recently paid $207 for my local dealer to do the work, but, when I looked over the receipt, I realized that maybe I needed a new technique. The dealer’s bill only shows that they only changed one oil filter instead of both and charged me $150 for labor.
Here’s my new technique. I now send in an oil sample to Blackstone Labs (no affiliation--just a satisfied customer) after each track event or every six months. I tell them how many track miles I have driven on the current oil, how many I think I will drive at the next event, and whether they recommend an oil change. I do this in lieu of actually changing the oil after each event. I figure that, at $25 per oil sample, it is approximately $50 in savings less than the DIY cost and $175+ less than the professional cost. I hit the track at least once a month - two if I am lucky – and doing all those changes adds up. I also just bought all the parts needed to do my own oil change. My plan is to pay myself the $150 in labor, put it in my secret account (yes, my wife knows about it ) which will eventually pay for my next Porsche (either a SP1 Car, a long hood 911, or a RS America)

I do it myself, but having a two post lift in the garage helps. As far as the filters go, the local Porsche dealer told me they do not routinely replace both filters. The smaller one on the engine is replaced less often. The large one in the fender is easy enough to get to. You might consider going every other oil change on the smaller filter, unless you're tracking the car. In that case, do both to be safe.
BTW, a great oil to consider is Amsoil fully synthetic. They make a special blend for European cars - MB, BMW, Porsche, etc. (AFL - 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil European Car Formula, est. $5.50 qrt.) I now run it in 6 cars and all my small motor toys. You can get commercial duty oil filters that will last 25k miles for many cars. They're made by Donaldson, the same folks that make them for CAT, semis, and the military. The Amsoil will outlast the heavy duty filter. After switching to Amsoil, the engines start easier in the winter and run much smoother. I could literally tell the difference. You pay more for the products, but with fewer oil changes, you actually save a few bucks and generate a lot less waste oil.
