Default Upgrades to the 1995 993 :)

Ok, So I went all in and added some stuff to the 993. I went and visited Robin in California to listen to the RSR’s. WOW!! The true sound that only a 993 should sound like (in my option only). So I bought the RSR’s. I also saw on Robin’s car the strut brace bar that he had. I also bought that to. Robin mentioned to me that the caps and rotors have never been changed the car has 40K on it. So I changed the caps, rotors, and the spark plugs. Nothing has ever been changed on the car that I seen. So everything that I changed and added, feels like a new car to me with the firm handling feel from the strut bar and the awesome sound from the RSR’s. Thanks Robin!

Sounds great. I love when you can really tell the difference with the changes made. I'll bet they are not the last for you. Congrats.

Good to hear ... glad you're happy with the changes.

What kind of strut tower brace is it?

Yes, the lowering is in place (Euro Sport Suspension w/ Bilstein HD Shocks). I just have to do in steps. I have a new baby on the way (a child).

Congrats on the baby on the way!

Your car is gonna look great once it's laid a little. You know, doing it in steps is the way to do it, that's how I did it.

I don't mean to pee in anyone's corn flakes, but you can't "feel" a strut brace in street driving on street tires. It's called the placebo effect. But if it makes you feel better to think that that little bar across the inner fenders actually created a "firm handling feel" -- bully for you.

I think on a cab you feel more than a coupe.

Imracerx, are those factory TTII wheels from the Exclusive Programme? I have a set on my car and have never seen another. Nice looking cab!

I really like the look of a white cab with grey top. Nice looking car!

My experience with installing strut bars on cabs is that I can detect a difference, believe it or not. Some cowl shake before, virtually none after. The first couple of installs I chucked-it up to nonsense and coincidence, but after a few more, I started to believe the changes. Havent concluded much on coupes despite they do feel a bit stiffer afterwards.

Are your wheels the 8's and 11's w/a NB offset? I know that the 7.5/9's TT2 were available on the later Boxsters and the offsets work for the NB 993/996's. I've also see the repro 8's/10's w/NB offset on ebay. I really like the look of the TT2 wheel, but wanted OEM and couldn't find a set.

These are the repro wheels, 8's/10's. The fit is really good.
