coltj, they won the beer drinking award because of, or despite that, they started admitting women in '65.

No MBA here, but as a 25 year-old software architect I was thrust (gleefully at the time) into a VP Engineering position in a dot-com that actually *survived* the bust (albeit, after 5 CFOs, 4 CEOs, and countless VPs of Sales). So, I like to think of it as a real-world MBA...

Now I run my *own* company with an eye toward profitability, and I don't miss a day of those dot-com headaches.

JD here.........Golden Gate '91. Lousy job market led to me never having practiced. Ended up buying a business a couple of years later, another in '05, never looked back.

Likely the only guy out there to have paid for law school (at least what the scholarship didn't cover) by building 911 engines and transaxles. Used student loans for working capital, buying engine cores and such.

Remember, a NYU MBA costs about the same as a 993 tt, so you better make sure you make the most of it. Is your company paying for it?
Actually I think NYU MBA is more in the 7GT3 range.

My company will pay for the edumacation, which is why I feel i'm losing $$ by not taking advantage of it.

My turn:

B.S. Indiana Univ.
M.B.A (Finance) Case Western Reserve Univ.

Was working in Cleveland during grad school, and the company paid for it. I left the co. about 6 months after graduating as the advancement opportunities there were scarce. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

My background is in manufacturing finance, consulting and now am in management with an insurance company.
