Default Front Bumper Replacement Suggestions

Howdy,

I'm soliciting some suggestions on my front bumper replacement. I'd like to get a Euro front end (i.e. sans bumprettes) with brake cooling duct, lights, etc. I certainly would appreciate any ideas especially from those that completed something similar. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Dave

IMHO you can't go wrong with the Euro front bumper kit from Gert at http://www.carnewal-europe.com/ . Thats where I got mine and I'm a happy camper with the service and the looks!!!!

Randy,
I see that you decided against the air ducts....any reason why?

A competent body shop will be able to fill in the bumperette area saving you a ton o money. I did the ducts also.

Harvey,

What ducts did you use? A couple of friends are steering me towards Techart. Thanks.

Dave,

I have the euro bumper with an after market turbo ducts. I'm still waiting to find a used set of Techarts. I like the Turbo S lip to balance out my Turbo S tail. Good Luck.

Dave,

I was thinking the same thing. definately lose the bumperettes, I cant stand them! also, I feel that the front turbo bumer is a little week, too narrow....it needs the S lip.

IN summary, Tony's 993 TT is exasctly what I want to do and think u should do......my only concern is, will the S lip look out of place on our cars? will it be lower then the oem wide body side skirts or same?

Also, how much is the S lip alone and where can we get it from?
sam

ps.....too ban ebtourage is over for the season....atleast CYE started.....

Sam,

I believe the Turbo S lip was about $700 (not sure if that included prep, paint and installation). Ditto on entourage... ;-)

Thanks Tony and Sam....I appreciate it.
The new Euro front is not cheap as Harvey already realized. I'm going to price it all out before I pull the trigger. I know the ducting, when done correctly, is not easy to do. I appreciate the input.

Does anybody know if you have to pay custom & duty for the kit from Gert to get it in the US?

tropheus,
I believe you do. Fedex forwarded the bill to me last time I had a Gert shipment.

Dave,
So, Fedex did all the custom for you and you paid Fedex afterwards?

Euro bumper all the way, with the techart light kit. Pony on up and hand that cash over to Gert, he can supply the whole lot, good prices and even better service.

Thought you could compare the difference of the techart lights to the turbo s ones in the previous post, shot of my old C4S. enjoy.
