FYI, for those who don't want to DIY (or are not as skilled), there are many good wheel refinshers out there. The cost is typically $125 to refinish and repair each wheel. I had it done recently to a newly acquired set of badly curbed wheels just like the ones above and am very pleased with the results.

How is the spray paint? does it go on fairly evenly? Does the color match well?
The paint is great, its about as close to a 100% match as you can get. If you REALLY REALLLLLLY look close you can tell its not quite the same but from more than 2 inches away you would have a hard time noticing a difference.

The ONLY thing I will caution you about with the paints is this:
Be sure you press EVENLY and do not get your finger too far forward on the nozzle for the can of clear. I have some minor sanding and re-clearing to do because I had my finger too far forward and it started spewing out very unevenly and leaving a mess of "dots" of clear. DOH!
The other cans did not do that, but they were the 1Z, not the Worth.

Its been a productive two days. I also wired in my garage door opener!

Nice job! If I may ask, where did you purchase the paint?

They look great! Nice job.

Do you think the spray on clearcoat would work on brake calipers? The clearcoat on my big reds are peeling.

All the paint products (prep solvent, primer, paint, and clear) were purchased from PelicanParts. Don't bother looking for the Wurth paint, it doesn't exist any more that I could find due to some nozzle issue (i'm guessing the same one I had with the clear where if not pressed exactly it splatters). The 1Z stuff is compatible with the wurth clear and prepsol so it works just fine!

Not sure the schedule will allow. I'll have to get back to you if you're serious

Man, that is nice. How did you know the color would match so well. How did you prep the can before spraying? (hot water, shake the crap out of it, ...) Also, how did you avoid the "glob" effect of a spray can? I am really, really impresed. Any detail narrative would be great.

That is impressive. Shows what you can do with some patience and attention to detail. Well done.
