Default winter wheels/tires

Can anyone give me recommendations for a 4 wheel/tire package for my C4 for the winter?
I need simple: Just replace my stock wheels with the new ones, no spacers....
Thanks
Rob

I use the standard 17" Cups with Bizzaks in the winter....have driven in snow and ice with this set up and it has always got me home - even in 4 inches of unexpected snow last winter

Since moving back north in '04, I have been running Blizzaks on my OEM 17" wheels. I have been very happy with their performance. They also offer better grip in the cold than z rated tires. I still won't embark on a road trip with the p car if I know it's going to snow. Unfortunately, the roads are populated with SUV's wearing "all season tires"

i use the 18' turbo twist wheels with dunlop WS3. i use the same setup on the audi wagon, and it has worked flawlessly. the dunlops are good and stiff too, making for great winter tires in the cold/dry as well.

I have used with great success the Nokian WR. 3 winters in Vancouver some with tons of snow and ice and they performed admirably.
I'm actually preparing to buy a new set for my daily driver and I was just browsing on the Nokian site, only to see that the WR now carry an N0 designation which means they are Porsche approved! They do come in our standard sizes for 17" wheels and if I manage to sell my M3 I will get a set for the 911 to use her in the winter.

Stock 17" cup wheels with Nokian WRs (which are a winter-biased all season, not true snow tires, but are better in winter than many true snow tires) in stock sizes for me. I'm not sure you need anything more extreme than the WRs in NJ--not like you'll be driving through a foot of snow all the time.

Using the Dunlop M2 Winter Sports on 17" twists. Get a mixture of dry, wet, snow and ice around NW Indiana and Chicago area.

I used to drive my 993 year round with Blizzaks and the stock 17" and it was not only terrific but nothing short of amazing. The only time I had a problem was going up my driveway in a huge snowstorm where my car surfed up on top of the snow. Traction is better than any other awd I've ever had and the low center of gravity makes it even better. I would get looks from people in giant sport utes like I was from neptune because I drove it in the snow. Their look changed when I would pull away from them while their tires spun.

I have a set of pristine OEM Winter wheels / Tires (< 900 miles on them) for 1997 993 C4S I bought but never used. If anyone interested let me know (I'll sell for what I paid + Shipping).

Same here but on 17" OEM Cups. Work fairly well on similar mixture of dry, wet, ice and snow.
