i have the 2" LPMM and just the other day heard the SuperCups for the first time. NIGHT AND DAY.
I could not believe how loud and harmonic they were. i only heard them at idle and engine rev, not under any actual load but i could imagine.

I'm sure my neighbors would KILL me.

Cool Super Cups

Just a heads up. I observed that Super Cups will make a 92 dB sound check, provided you have the diverters bolted up and facing away from the dB meter check point. A buddy of mine was running them and they passes sound one he installed the diverters...

Just a heads up on Supercups. I used the Gen 1 version on my old 993 until I noticed that they were melting the bumper cover. The car saw a lot of track mind you. Still, observe the heat shields on the OEM mufflers and ask why they are there.

I was worried about this when I got them. I have the Gen 2 with the downturns. I have run 12 track days with then since I got them...some of those days were 90 degree days, small slow tracks and long fast ones.

Not a hint of anything melting or having any sort of heat damage...and believe me I have looked closely. Is it a Gen 1 thing?? I didn't think there was alot of difference between Gen 1 and 2 other than the removeable baffles?? Also the stock mufflers sit very close to the bumper cover...the Supercups are much farther away...

2 1/2 years with first generation ones. I run them on the cab unbaffled with the top down 100 % of the time. Love the sound. No problems with bumper melting either.

How much louder is the Supercup compared to the 1.5-2 inch LPMM? 1x, 2x?

Is the loudness primarily at idle, middle rev, or higher up?

Not sure on the multiplication here...but I would say 2x, all through the rev range. They sound simply awesome................
You have to reach down between your legs, and make sure you've got solid pair of nuggets...because you'll catch some flak from your wife for running these bad boys...but if you can muster the courage, you will be rewarded!

I just went from the 1.5 LPMM to the Supercups.
With the supercups, the sound at idle is just deep and threatening. As you move through the revs, the sound just gets angrier and remains deep. There is a bit of resonance I have found around 3K RPM, but not annoyingly so.
I went for ice cream yesterday with my kids, and when we got out of the car, several adults commented on how nice the car sounded.
I cannot wait to take to the track or autocross.

Super cups appear to be pretty much 'just' straight pipes. How come an enterprising Rennllister can't just fab a similar set up to be used with either Bischoff or Gillette tips???

Or better yet - shortie 2" pipes going into a small cherry bomb or thrush muff into our tips???

Totally agree. I have the first gen Supercups and use them with the baffles inserted most of the time. When I take them out, I always get positive comments. Check my signature for a small sound byte with the baffles in (just revving and stationary).

I have the newer version and am finally going back to Maxflo's. My situation is changing slightly and the reduced profile is necessary.

Loved them for the 3 years I had them on - will sell if anyone is interested.

They are being swapped out at IRA Porsche next week - Alfie will have them available for pickup.
