Wheel fitment for '96 C2
Greetings from a newbie in Seattle.
Looking at an oem take-off set of 18" 996 C2 twists for my recently acquired '96 993 C2, but I'm not sure of available clearances, particularly with the rears.
From the seller, the quoted width and offsets for the 996 twists are as follows:
Fronts: 7.5J w/ 50mm offset
Rears: 10J w/ 65mm offset
The seller says they'll fit on my 993 (spacers at the rear?). But for my own sanity I'd like a little confirmation from an unbiased party. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
(To be honest, even IF these fit without too much fuss I'm not at all sure if my kidneys will appreciate going to an even lower profile sidewall with the larger diameter wheel. But at least I'll know in case I decide to 'twist'...)

Those will bolt right on. No spacers needed.
Yes, ride comfort will suffer a bit compared to 17s, but you can moderate that somewhat based on the tire you choose and adjustable suspension (your next mod - trust me).

Welcome, from another Seattle 993 owner. From what I understand, your ride comfort should not suffer too much by going to 18" wheels. I am going to 18's soon. It also depends on your suspension; upgraded? lowered? old?
BTW: I was going to send you a PM, but I see that you don't except them. If you ever want to get together and talk p-cars, let me know.

Thanks for the advice on the wheels. The suspension's stock but old...DEFINITELY old. And indeed it IS high on the list of things to upgrade. Just wish the old wallet was bottomless...
